CHAPTER ONE
The Iconic Cocktail That Refuses to Go Out of Style
The Martini is a descendant of the Martinez, a drink made with gin and sweet vermouth that was first seen in print in 1887. Over the next few decades, the sweet vermouth turned to dry and the name changed, and by the 1910s, the Martini had established itself. However, the cocktail really took off after Prohibition. It is easily customizable. We love the Lemon Drop, the Espresso, and the Chocolate.
Our Boswell Martini is a tip of the cap to our dear friend Todd and takes its recipe from the classic Vesper Bar at the Dorchester Hotel in London. It was James Bond’s preferred cocktail and we will even stir if you prefer!
